The local partnership for children has a resource center that you can check materials out of, provides workshops for parents, and can help with locating quality child care providers.

 

2.) Sheppard Memorial Library

Sheppard Memorial Library has various branches throughout Pitt County that offer a variety of different services and both children's and adult programming. Getting a library card is FREE and is an excellent way to encourage your children to be life long learners. Strive to read to your child EVERY day!

The Greenville Recreation and Parks Department maintains a variety of different parks and playgrounds throughout Greenville. Physical activity is of vital importance to your child's growth and development. Many different day camps and programs are offered during the summer and are usually reasonablly affordable. Different sports and arts groups meet throughout the year and are a great way to get your child involved in group activities. Special events that are free to the public are also offered throughout the year.
